'He got my clothes off!': Kim Kardashian explains Mert Alas talked her into stripping for GQ

Kim Kardashian had no intention of posing nuude for the June 2016 cover of GQ.
The 36-year-old Keeping Up With The Kardashians star explained on Sunday night during the 2017 Fashion Los Angeles Awards that her publicist was sick of all the nude shoots she had done.
So when the conservative-minded flack hit the bathroom, photographer Mert Alas convinced the world's biggest reality star to take her clothes off.
'He got my clothes off!': Kim Kardashian explains Mert Alas talked her into stripping for GQ

'He's the kind of guy where I, like, swore I was never going to do a nude shoot again, and my publicist will kill me,' said the wife of Kanye West.
'I'll stand on set and she'll go to the bathroom and he'll get my clothes off. He's just honestly the funniest person I've ever met in my entire life.'
The star has also posed nude for W and Paper magazine. And she posed for Playboy in 2007.

Fuel scarcity looms as tanker drivers insist on strike from today

Fuel scarcity looms as tanker drivers insist on strike from Monday
NIGERIA - The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers, NUPENG, has said its Petroleum Tanker Drivers had been mobilised to ensure no movement of petroleum tankers as their nationwide strike begins on Monday.

Tokunbo Korodo, the South-West Chairman of NUPENG Lagos Council, made the assertion on Sunday in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, in Lagos.
Should the strike proceed as planned, it would lead to fuel scarcity and long queues in filling stations across Nigeria.

According to Mr. Korodo, all the tanker drivers have abandoned their trucks in respect of the indefinite strike which will begin on Monday unless the federal government intervenes.
The chairman said the drivers were forced to down tools due to unresolved issues concerning their welfare, poor remuneration, insecurity and bad roads.

“The tanker drivers for the past three years have been appealing to the Nigeria Association of Road Transport Owners (NARTO) to increase their salary but they refused on the ground that spare parts had increased.

“NARTO said that government has not increased their fares, so they will not increase their salary.
“Apart from this, most of the roads they ply are bad and this has resulted in accidents or damaging their trucks.

“The activities of the official of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps on the roads is not helping the matter,” Mr. Korodo told NAN.

“The tanker drivers are forced to break the seal of their product on the pretext that they were carrying adulterated product.

“Most of these drivers are harassed by these officers, at times the tanker and the driver will be detained for close to a month,’’ he said.

Mr. Korodo also said that more than 2,000 staff of Capital Oil and Gas Ltd., were on the line due to their closure by the Federal Government due to some issues between the company and NNPC.
He said that the union wanted the government to resolve the matter so that the company would be opened and the staff and tanker drivers would resume duty.

The chairman, however, said that the strike would not affect activities in filling stations, depots or refineries across the nation.

NAN reports that on March 31, the PTD branch of the NUPENG said they would begin a nationwide strike on April 3.

NUPENG’s President, Igwe Achese, announced this in a communique in Lagos at the end of its Central Working Committee meeting held at the union’s secretariat in Yaba.

The communique said the strike would draw the attention of the Federal Government and other stakeholders to some unresolved issues bordering on the welfare of workers, bad roads, poor remuneration, insecurity and the alleged excesses of some security agencies.

Identical twin brothers jailed for brutal attack on 15-year-old boy

Identical twin brothers jailed for brutal attack on 15-year-old boy

CRIME - Twin brothers who were part of a gang of six who stabbed and beat a 15-year-old boy were on Friday, March 31, sentenced to almost ten years in prison.

The six teenagers were found guilty of grievous bodily harm with intent at Inner London Crown Court on Tuesday, 14 February.

Taylor Joseph, 18, of Ewen Crescent, Brixton was jailed on for five years. His twin brother Brandon Joseph, 18, was jailed for four and a half years.

Also on 31 March, two 16-year-old teenage boys - one from Penge, the other from Brixton - were jailed for four years, and a 16-year-old male from Clapham received a two year suspended sentence. A 17-year-old male from Streatham is yet to be sentenced.

On 3 October 2015, police were called to Hardel Walk, SW2 to reports of a stabbing. Officers and the London Ambulance Service attended and found a 15-year-old male suffering from multiple stab wounds.

The victim was at a birthday party attended by family members and young children in Hardel Walk and was playing on the street with his friends when they were approached by a large group of youths armed with weapons, some wearing face masks.

Most of the victim's friends ran back into the address, but the victim tried to flee but was chased. The group caught up with him and asked him where he was from before one of the group punched him in the face. The victim ran away again, but he was tripped up and struck with baseball bats, poles and knives whilst on the ground. A driver sounded a car horn and distracted the attackers who then fled.
The victim ran back towards the address he came from, collapsing from his injuries in a stairwell. He was helped by members of the public. The victim suffered stab wounds to his leg, arm and back and sustained a punctured lung, punctured stomach and several other wounds.

He needed two operations and spent ten days in hospital. He required rehabilitative treatment in the months afterwards and still has nerve damage in his shoulder.

Officers immediately started making enquiries in the nearby area and quickly established that a number of weapons had been deposited at a different party being held nearby. Two of the eight knives seized were later found to have the victim's blood on them.

Officers took control of that party and filtered out more than 120 teenagers, and subsequently identified witnesses, CCTV and forensic evidence.

Several people provided police with accounts of what happened and on 9 October 2015, a number of suspects were arrested.

In July 2016, eight people were charged with grievous bodily harm with intent. All were aged between 14 and 16 at the time of the attack. The trial commenced at Inner London Crown Court started on 4 January 2017.

After a six-week trial, on Tuesday, 14 February, six of the suspects were unanimously convicted. DC Danni Wilgoss of Brixton CID said:
"This was a brutal and callous attack that, were it not for the quick actions and expertise of paramedics and the aid from members of the public, could have resulted in the loss of a teenage boy's life.

"Those who carried out this attack did so for no apparent reason other than the victim was in the wrong place at the wrong time. They took shelter in numbers and showed a total disregard for the safety - and life - of the victim.

"An investigation is only ever as good as those who step forward to assist and I want to pay tribute to the witnesses who were extremely brave to provide evidence.

"I also want to pay tribute to the victim who has shown remarkable bravery and tenacity since the incident. His positive attitude is admired by my colleagues and I alike.

"This case demonstrated that the local community will not stand for such violence. It was a painstaking investigation which shows that the Met is committed to vigorously pursuing anyone who commit such act"

Breaking: Fraud row erupts in Ecuador election

Fraud row erupts in Ecuador election
From BBCNEWS a row has erupted over Ecuador's presidential elections after early results projected victory for the incumbent party's candidate.

Results show former vice president Lenin Moreno of the Socialist Party has 51.12% of the vote, with just 4% of districts still waiting to be counted.

But challenger Guillermo Lasso had already begun celebrations after an exit poll predicted his victory.

He demanded a recount, and called on supporters to take to the streets.
He also alleged electoral fraud had been used to grant victory to his opponent.
In a series of tweets, he told the public to "peacefully defend your vote" and said he was "going to defend the will of the people".

Final official results have yet to be announced.

If Mr Moreno is declared the winner, he will continue a decade of left-wing leadership begun by President Rafael Correa in 2007.

He would also become one of a small number of disabled world leaders - he became paraplegic after being shot in the back during a robbery in 1998.

An apparent victory for Mr Moreno was welcomed by Wikileaks founder Julian Assange - as Mr Lasso had vowed to evict him from his asylum in the country's London embassy if victorious.
Mr Assange tweeted that he "cordially invites" Mr Lasso to leave the country within 30 days - referencing the timeframe the candidate gave for Mr Assange's own eviction.

Mr Lasso, a former banker who wants to promote foreign investment, called for a recount after Mr Moreno started to take a lead in the preliminary results.

Exit polls released earlier on Sunday had suggested an extremely tight race.

A poll by Periles de Opinion had shown Mr Moreno leading with 52.2%, while a poll by Cedatos showed Mr Lasso winning with 53.02%.
Fraud row erupts in Ecuador election

The incumbent President Correa, meanwhile, tweeted criticism of what he termed "violence" in several cities as early results emerged.

Local media reported that some of Mr Lasso's supporters had gathered in the capital of Quito, as well as the city of Guayaquil. The El Comercio newspaper said the crowd removed barriers placed in the road, and bottles were thrown by some in Guayaquil.

"What they do not achieve at the polls, they want to achieve by force," Mr Correa said.
When he was first elected in 2007, Mr Correa was one of a group of left-wing leaders in power in Latin America.

But in the decade since, conservative politicians have taken power in Argentina and Brazil. A victory for Mr Lasso would have continued that trend.

US will assist North Korea alone - Trump

Trump ready to 'solve' North Korea problem without China

US President Donald Trump has said the United States will "solve" the nuclear threat from North Korea, with or without China's help.

"If China is not going to solve North Korea, we will. That is all I am telling you," he said in an interview with UK paper Financial Times.

Pressed on whether he thought he could succeed alone, he replied: "Totally."

Mr Trump was speaking ahead of a scheduled visit from Chinese President Xi Jinping this week.
"China has great influence over North Korea. And China will either decide to help us with North Korea, or they won't. And if they do that will be very good for China, and if they don't it won't be good for anyone," Mr Trump told the FT.

Asked if he meant "one-on-one" unilateral action, Mr Trump said: "I don't have to say any more. Totally."

He did not give any further details on what action he would take.

Mr Trump's brief comments, published just days before the key meeting with Mr Xi at Mar-a-Lago on Thursday, are the latest in a series of warnings over North Korea's nuclear development.

There are fears that Pyongyang could eventually develop the ability to launch long-range nuclear missiles capable of striking the mainland United States.
Trump ready to 'solve' North Korea problem without China

During a trip to Asia in March, US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said pre-emptive military action was an option "on the table".

A month earlier, Defence Secretary James Mattis warned that any use of nuclear weapons would be met with an "overwhelming" response.
Footage of a North Korean missile launch is broadcast on television in South Korea, 6 March

China - which is North Korea's only international ally - has taken action in light of the reclusive nation's latest missile tests.

In February, it banned coal imports from North Korea until the end of 2017, cutting a major source of cash income for Pyongyang.

But Mr Trump is expected to pressure China's president to do much more at their meeting this week - and he has implied that the issue of trade could be used as leverage.

The president told the Financial Times that "trade is the incentive. It is all about trade." But he said he did not plan to discuss tariffs during the meeting.

KEY VERSE:KEY VERSE:"And Joash did that which was right in the sight of the LORD all the days of Jehoiada the priest. And he gathered together the priests and the Levites, and said to them, Go out unto the cities of Judah, and gather of all Israel money to repair the house o

BIBLE TEXT: 2 Chronicles 24:1-14

Someone said: "Whenever you hear of a man doing a great thing, you may be sure that behind it somewhere is a great background. It may be a mother’s training, a father’s example, a teacher’s influence, or an intense experience of his own. But it has to be there or else the great achievement does not come, no matter how favourable the opportunity." How true this is especially for spiritual leaders! They must influence worshippers and people who have had personal encounters with God. Jehoiada, the priest, had great positive influence on the young king Joash, in doing that which was right in the sight of the Lord.

The single-mindedness and dogged determination of king Joash in ensuring that the task of repairing the temple was accomplished, must be the outcome of the impact of Jehoiada on his life. He encouraged him in the act of teamwork. The church today needs visionary and committed leaders like this priest who would painstakingly lead members to fulfill their necessary responsibilities. As good as delegation of duty is in secular and in spiritual administration, leaders must still remember not to abdicate their responsibilities, but to impact others by exemplary lifestyle. The overwhelming response of all families in Judah is a proof that God’s work will never lack God’s resources.

It is unscriptural to solicit financial assistance for the execution of God’s project from the ungodly. If Christians will be faithful in paying their tithes, the church would be richer. Moreso, givers never lack. However, members in the local assemblies should be motivated to faithfully, cheerfully and bountifully give their offerings to raising befitting church buildings and other needful gospel-related physical projects. He who "soweth bountifully shall also reap bountifully".

Thought for the day: Physical temple dignifies God; but spiritual ones please Him more.

You were Created for a Purpose - Dr. Paul Enenche

Seed of Destiny Devotional 3rd April 2017: You were created for a purpose

Welcome to Seed of Destiny Devotional written by Dr. Paul Enenche

Topic: You were Created for a Purpose

Today: Monday, 3rd April 2017

SCRIPTURE: ‘And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So, God created man in his own image…’ Genesis 1:26
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: You were created to answer a question and to provide a solution.
It has been established without an iota of doubt that every human being on earth was created for a purpose. God defined our existence even before we were created. For instance, before a manufacturer can produce a particular product, he has to define the use or purpose of the product. This implies that, purpose precedes creation. It is purpose that drives every creative endeavour.
What then is purpose?
1.The purpose of a product is the objective that provoked the creation of that product.
2.The purpose of a product is the reason that necessitated its creation. The reason God had in mind before creating you is your purpose. You were created to answer a question and to provide a solution.
The most important discovery of your life, therefore, is the discovery of your purpose of existence on earth. Always ask yourself questions like: Why am I alive?
What am I on earth to accomplish? What question am I here to answer? What solution am I here to offer to my generation?
The general purpose of life is to worship God, have a relationship with Him and release the dominion and authority of His Heavenly Kingdom on earth.
Beloved, the best place to live on earth is in the purpose of God for your creation.
Remember this: You were created to answer a question and to provide a solution.
1.Consciously ask God to show you the purpose of your life.
2.Ensure to live in the purpose of God for your life.
PRAYER: O LORD, I choose to live in Your purpose for my life. I make demands on the grace to live consistently in Your Will in Jesus’ Name.

Memorise: And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members shall perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. Matthew 5:29

Read: Matthew 5:27-30 (KJV)

27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:

28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

Under the old covenant that God had with the children of Israel, a person was not guilty of sexual immorality, like fornication or adultery, until they performed the act. This was the basis of the poser thrown at Jesus by the scribes and Pharisees in John 8:4-5:

“They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act. Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?”

What they failed to realise was that Jesus came to establish a new covenant with mankind and not to perpetuate the old. Under the new covenant, Jesus made it clear that it is not until you sleep with someone other than your spouse that you are guilty of sexual immorality. Rather, in Matthew 5:28, He said thus:

“… Whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”

This is food for thought for us who live in such times as this, where nudity and lust are glorified and glamorised by the world. This however should not be the case in the Church of Jesus Christ. When we promote the lust of the eye by allowing nudity in the Church, we expose members to sexual immorality, even if they do not actually carry out the act. A member of the choir who dresses seductively to lead praises and worship songs will not lead the congregation into the presences of God; rather, he or she will leave the congregation worse off than they were before coming to church. This is not a question of being legalistic; it is a matter of divine principle as put forth by the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. We should remember that God can only be worshipped in spirit, because He is a Spirit. When we then, in the name of liberty, promote adultery and fornication through lust, are we operating in the same Spirit as the Almighty God we claimed to worship?

Hear the recommendation of the Lord Christ in Matthew 5:29:

“And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.”

Based on the standard laid out in this recommendation, if a member of the Body of Christ conducts himself or herself in a way that exposes the people of God to committing sexual immorality through lust, such a fellow should be corrected in love and warned to desist. Further appropriate spiritual sanctions can be applied if the fellow does not heed this warning. Are you in any way living in sexual immorality? Repent and ask the Lord Jesus Christ to save you!

Prayer Point
Father, restrain me from becoming a stumbling block to my fellow believers in all that I do.
