'He's not a bad man, but he's out of touch & his ignorance is so profound' - Joe Biden

USA News

US vice-president Joe Biden has blasted Donald Trump saying the U.S Republican party presidential candidate lacks knowledge of the 'sensibilities of the American people'.

Biden also blasted Trump for his action on Friday morning when he tweeted around 3am slandering the media and blasting former Miss Universe Alicia Machado for being used as a tool by Hillary Clinton in her presidential campaign.

In a video chat with CNN on Tuesday, Biden said: "He's not a bad man,"
"But his ignorance is so profound, so profound."
"I bet he couldn't carry his bag 18 holes in one of his own golf courses, speaking of energy," Biden said.

"Can you imagine the President getting up at 3:30 in the morning and tweeting vitriol?"

"Since when does somebody who lives at the top in the world, in a penthouse overlooking the world, be in a position that he doesn't feel any obligation at all to pay any federal income tax to support the military, to support education, to support our foreign policy?" Biden said about Trump.

"Since when is that a patriotic thing to do? Can you imagine any other president, any other president, just ever say that and be proud of that? I can't fathom it."

Biden also said that despite Trump's promises to challenge the status quo by becoming president, his proposed tax plan will preserve the tax breaks he took advantage of.

"What he's proposing in the tax cut would lock in all of those special interests from real estate folks and cut their taxes even more," Biden said. "This is all about Trump. This is all about Trump."
Biden continued: "What's that say about all the people here? Are they all suckers for paying their taxes, because they can't hire a tax lawyer, because they couldn't make significant contributions to try to change the law to benefit themselves? Come on, man. That's just not right."

The U.S vice president also said he'll invite Trump to the "battlefield" with him in Afghanistan and Iraq so that Trump could experience what soldiers go through after Trump said on Monday that Army veterans suffer from PTSD and 'are weak'.

"I was asked to present a Silver Star to a young man who had jumped into a burning Humvee to pull out his buddy after an IED exploded," Biden said. "And the kid died. The commanding general ... asked me to pin on a Silver Star, when I was there. You know what the kid said to me? 'I don't want it. I don't want it. He did not live, sir. He did not live, sir.' That kid probably goes to sleep every night with a nightmare."
"How can (Trump) be so out of touch and ask to lead this country?" Biden asked.

How smartphone can help find missing children

How smartphone can help find missing children

Technology has made it possible for parents to track the movement of their children. This can prevent the children from getting lost or find them, if they are missing. Below are some useful features for this purpose:

 Lassy Project

The goal of Lassy Project, according to www.parents.com, is to minimise the amount of time it takes to send out an alert that your child has gone missing. Unlike the Amber Alert, Lassy Project provides an image of the missing child and a real time map showing the coordinates of the child’s last known location. It works in seconds, not hours, and only alerts relevant people in the immediate area (the app is free on iPhone, iPad, Android).

Find my kids – footprints

Using the GPS in real time, this app helps you keep track of and automatically locate where your child goes with his phone. For instance, if he is travelling alone, you can confirm that he has arrived at a specific destination, or if he is meeting up with friends, they can confirm each other’s locations.

Location information is never shared with anyone else beyond those who have permission to see it, and the data is saved for a later review.

Even though the app is free, parents will need a subscription for the tracking feature. Download is free but the service requires a monthly fee on iPhone and iPad.

 Missing child alerts

Missing child alerts mobile app can be found on Google Play Store. It helps notify and rapidly spread the word through social media when a child goes missing.

*Simply download the app and choose your state – that is it! You will automatically receive updates when a new child goes missing in your state.

 Sygic family

Sygic family keeps your family safe by allowing you to check the real-time location and the battery levels of your family members’ smartphones. You can also track your children’s whereabouts, or have them checked periodically to let you know where they are and if they have arrived at their destinations safely.

The app also has an in-built messaging system, which lets you send messages for free over an Internet connection. You can also set ‘Safe or Unsafe zones’ – a notification will be sent to you when they enter or leave these zones. There is also an SOS button available in this app, which lets you send out your exact location at the touch of a button.

 Life360

Life360 has the GPS locations of your family members via their smartphones, a panic button, and alerts when someone enters a preset zone (for instance, gets home). It also lets you check where they have been (location history); where to get help in an emergency (hospitals, police stations), and allows you to have group chats.

Google Latitude

Google Latitude is less of an app but more of a tracking tool. It allows you to see where your family members are on a map. To use it, go to Google Latitude and start adding your family members via their Gmail contacts. When they accept, you can see their locations on Google Map on your phone.

Their locations will be at the background even when the app is closed or when your smartphone is locked. The app is not restricted to family members; you can use it to check just about anyone’s whereabouts, provided they are on Google Latitude.

 MobileKids

This is a monitoring device that sends parents alerts when kids have been using their mobile phones in the middle of the night; when they add a new unrecognised contact, or when they download a new app.

Parents will also get statistics about their children’s mobile usage, which they can use to set usage limits (premium account).

There is still the much sought-after location feature, with a slight twist. With the SOS button and Check-in feature, the child can request their parents to track their movement live via the GPS tracking, something like remotely ‘walking’ them to their destination.

Why I was absent in the public presentation of President Buhari's biography - Atiku

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar
Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar has said that he did not attend the public presentation of President Muhammadu Buhari’s authorised biography, ‘Muhammadu Buhari: The Challenges of Leadership in Nigeria’ on Monday because he got the invitation to the event late.

The explanation was contained in a statement by Abubakar’s Media Adviser, Paul Ibe.
Ibe claimed that the former Vice-President only received the invitation on Monday after the event had started.

He, however, admitted that the invitation dated September 30 was received in Abubakar’s office on Saturday.

He said, “For inexplicable reason, the former Vice President only received his invitation today (Monday) after the event had started.

“It is on record that the invitation for the Turakin Adamawa was delivered to the Atiku Centre on October 1, 40 hours before the event of today, and only after the former Vice President had travelled to Gombe to honour the invitation for the celebrations of the 20th anniversary of the creation of creation of the State.

“The former Vice-President returned to Abuja on Sunday night, October 2.

“The invitation letter signed September 30, 2016, the last working day of the week was handed over to Atiku Abubakar today (Monday), after the programme had commenced.

“As a former Vice-President well-schooled in the demands of protocol, it would have been inappropriate of the Turakin Adamawa to storm into the event while Muhammadu Buhari, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Commander-in-chief was already seated with other dignitaries including visiting Heads of Government to the occasion.”

Abubakar was one of those who contested for the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress against Buhari in Lagos in 2015.

The former Vice-President came third behind Buhari and a former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso.

The Science of Sex: Does the Nose Know?

Most women have had the mysterious experience of being turned on by a partner’s smell. A friend of mine once told me her ex-boyfriend’s scent made her feel “safe and drawn to him,” and that his smell was so distinct and attractive that even after a sweaty workout, she found him appealing. Though personality and looks definitely play a part in initial attraction, smell may play a larger role than we suspect. That inexplicable “chemistry” you feel with someone who may not fit your normal dating profile? It could be a subconscious scent drawing you to him or her.

Studies have found that how a person smells gives us clues to their genetic make-up, and thus, their potential to be a compatible mate. On a subconscious level, decoding a scent gives us a powerful tool to ensure our kids will be healthy, and our orgasms will be plentiful.

The first study to indicate that chemical signals play a role in attraction was conducted by Claud Wedekind over a decade ago. Forty-four men wore the same T-shirt for three days. They refrained from deodorants and scented soaps so they wouldn’t interfere with their natural smell. Women then sniffed the shirts and indicated which ones smelled the best to them. By comparing the DNA of the women and men, the researchers found that women didn’t just choose their favorite scent randomly. They preferred the scent of man whose major histocompatibility complex (MHC)—a series of genes involved in our immune system—was most different from their own.

Researchers knew to look at the MHC because of its importance in animal’s sexual preferences. In mice, it has long been known that MHC not only helps ward off infection, but it also plays a role in scent and mate selection.

From an evolutionary perspective, choosing a mate with a different immune system makes survival sense. Kids of parents with different immune genes are more likely to be disease-resistant and are therefore more likely to survive. The women in this study also reported liking the scents that reminded them of their current or previous boyfriends, showing that MHC attraction is consistent. And because MHC profiles differ greatly from one person to the next, there is no universally “good” smell. One woman’s Romeo was another woman’s raunchy.

Further studies have built upon this initial finding of mate preference. It turns out that women are most attracted to men that have an MHC profile similar to their fathers. That is, they don’t want a mate with an identical genetic make-up, but they also don’t want one that has no overlapping genes at all. By doing this, women can avoid in-breeding (which can result in genetic defects) and complete out-breeding (which can dilute robust genes).

A genetically complimentary mate means more than just initial attraction, however. It also leads to more female orgasms, better chances of conception, and an improved sex life. And the attraction based on scent isn’t just reserved for heterosexual couples. Gay men and lesbians respond as would be expected to body odors, but to the same sex.

An interesting exception to the MHC attraction is for women taking the pill. Wedekind found that pill-takers responded in almost the exact opposite manner than would be expected. Because the pill tricks your body into thinking it is pregnant, it chemically alters your sense of attraction. Instead of finding the scent of genetically dissimilar men attractive, women on the pill found the scent of men with MHC’s similar to their own to be attractive.

This may be because when a woman is pregnant, she isn’t looking for a new mate, and may benefit from being around kin, or those with a similar genetic make-up. But, because scent can be such a powerful indicator of a mate that is biologically compatible, what does this mean for women on the pill? Research has shown that picking a mate whose MHC is too similar to your own can result in higher rates of miscarriage and relationship difficulties like infidelity. Are contraceptive takers sabotaging their innate ability to pick a proper mate?

Though certainly the scent of a man can be a powerful indicator of genetic compatibility, it certainly doesn’t dictate everything. If a woman falls in love with a man, and then begins the pill, she’s not likely to lose interest; love may be more powerful than the initial scent connection. And there are certainly other factors at play than just scent. Like most biological responses, mate preference and sexual attraction is much more complex than just how we smell. Because our scent communication acts at a subtle level, we have to get close enough even to detect it; that is, there needs to be a reasonable amount of physical or intellectual attraction in the first place. Although there is a new internet dating-site based on the MHC smell basis, scientificmatch.com, they still require users to fill out the normal things that most people base their compatibility on: age, hobbies, interests, income, etc.

Our noses may help us find the mate most suited to us, but it’s ultimately up to our minds to decide whether or not we like what we’ve sniffed out.

TOPIC: RESPECT FOR AUTHORITY

Bible Text: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All [authority] is given unto me in heaven and in earth.n - Matthew 28:18

MESSAGE:
Have respect for authority. Jesus Christ was under the authority of His Father in heaven . . . He lived for one thing: to fulfill the will of the Father. Everyone is subject to some kind of authority. There is one chain of command and the ultimate authority at the top is God.

What is the authority in your life? Is it your selfishness? Your lust? Your greed? Or have you turned it all over to God and said, “Lord, You are going to be my authority?” When you are under authority, you are then able to assume authority.

Prayer for the day:
There are still areas in my life that need to come under Your authority, Lord Jesus. Give me Your grace and strength to yield everything to You.

The Potentially 'catastrophic' Hurricane Matthew nears Haiti, may hit U.S.

A general view as Hurricane Matthew approaches Port-au-Prince, Haiti, October 3, 2016. REUTERS
Hurricane Matthew bore down on Haiti on Monday, where towns and villages braced for "catastrophic" floods and mudslides that forecasters fear will be triggered by 140 mile-per-hour (220 kph) winds and up to 3 feet of rain over its denuded hills.

Winds and rain began picking up in the southwest of the Caribbean country, but the center of Matthew, a violent Category 4 storm, is not due until late on Monday night, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said.

It is now forecast to reach the Bahamas on Tuesday and possibly reach Florida by Thursday as a major hurricane, though weaker than at present, the U.S. National Hurricane Center said. Before that, it will hit Cuba.

"It has the potential of being catastrophic,” said Dennis Feltgen, a meteorologist and spokesman for the Miami-based hurricane center, when asked about Matthew’s expected impact on Haiti.
Authorities were ferrying 3,000 people off Ile-a-Vache, a low-lying island off Haiti's southwest coast, by helicopter, Haitian Foreign Minister Pierrot Delienne said. Interior Minister Francois Anick Joseph said 30,000 people were in areas of risk who should be moved before the storm hits

However, in Haiti's largest slum, the seaside Cite Soleil in capital Port-au-Prince, Mayor Frederic Hislain said 150,000 people whose homes he said were threatened needed to be bussed to safer places.

"Those people are living all along the seashore in a bunch of huts which usually can't even really protect them from ordinary rain. Now we are talking about a strong hurricane. Imagine the disaster we may have to face here."

Alta Jean-Baptiste, head of the Haiti's Department of Civil Protection, said one man was killed by large waves at sea over the weekend, and another went missing when his boat capsized, despite warnings to stay on dry land.

Many people are reluctant to leave their homes due to fears their belongings will be stolen and by Monday evening only about 2,000 from the south were in shelters, officials said. However, more have moved from precarious homes into relatives' houses.

Matthew, one of the most powerful Atlantic hurricanes in recent history, was about 120 miles (193 km) south of westernmost Haiti at 8 p.m. EDT (0000 GMT) on Monday, the U.S. hurricane center said.

It is expected to bring between 15 and 40 inches (38 to 101 cm) of rain to parts of Haiti and the Dominican Republic.

Crawling north at about 8 miles (13 kph), the storm threatens to linger enough for its winds and rain to cause great damage. Haiti is prone to flash floods and mudslides because most of its hillsides have been stripped bare by people cutting down trees to make charcoal to sell for fuel.

HEAVY RAIN

Heavy rain fell over Haiti's southwestern coastal city of Les Cayes, which lies near Matthew's predicted path. Some residents of homes made of scrap metal and zinc sheets, perched just feet away from the ocean, refused to move into government shelters ahead of dangerous predicted storm surges.

A few miles to the west, wind buffeted the town of Tiburon, said Nicole Francois, of Haiti's National Center of Meteorology.

About 150 people huddled without electricity or food in Les Cayes' largest shelter, a school meant to house 600.

"After the hurricane, we will be miserable. We'll be hungry... The houses will be destroyed," said Rosette Joseph, 44, at the shelter with her four children.

The storm comes at a bad time for Haiti. The poorest country in the Americas is set to hold a long-delayed presidential election on Sunday.

In both Jamaica and Haiti, authorities shut the main airports to wait for the storm to pass.

In Cuba, where the storm is due to hit on Tuesday, evacuation operations were well underway with most tourists in the eastern town of Santiago de Cuba moved inland and given instructions on where to shelter in hotels during the hurricane.

12 Partner-Pleasing Sex Tips

1. Ever try slo-mo s*x? "However long it takes him to perform the usual titillating tasks, tell him to make it take a loooong time," says Lisa Sussman, author of Satisfaction Guaranteed: 350 Best S*x Tips Ever (Carlton, 2003). "Give all your moves the same treatment -- make it take a good half-a-minute or longer to do what usually takes a second or two." The result? You'll suddenly discover loads of nerve-endings you never noticed before.

2. Try a new position. Don't give up, and don't feel stupid if you can't make a new position work! "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again," says Sussman. "Give it three attempts before you give up on something new. Remember, s*x is a skill, and sometimes you need practice!" Rehearsing a new position clothed, before you go full-throttle, can also prevent mid-s*x mishaps.

3. Set a goal. Make short-term goals for a long-term improvement in lovemaking. "If, as a two-person team, you decide, 'Let's try one new position a week!' or 'Let's double our lovemaking!', you'll find yourself inspired," says Sussman. The team aspect of it brings you closer, too.

4. Abstain. Believe it or not, not having s*x can be s*xy. "Ignore intercourse altogether for an evening or two," says Logan Levkoff, a sexologist and sexuality educator in New York City. "Try touching, exploring, and being sensual without the goal of penetration or orgasm. It'll make the act much more exciting when you do get back to it."

5. Give your guy direction. "Men don't have our parts, and they don't naturally know how to use them," says Levkoff. "Keep that in mind and give him a basic lesson in operating instructions." Don't be bossy, and keep it positive -- "I love it when you do X, and it'd be even better if you added Y" -- and he'll feel like a stud as his skills instantly improve.

6. Stay connected. Sexually, that is. Don't let "I'm not in the mood" turn into "get away from me." Your sexual connection is important. Obviously sometimes you can let yourself be off the hook, but "you should take care of him in some other way whenever possible," says Levkoff. "Remembering your husband's needs, even when you feel overwhelmed, will help you resist resentment and keep the sexual current between you even through the hard times."

7. Redefine your idea of lovemaking. It doesn't have to mean going all the way. "You can be sexual and touchy and erotic without committing to the entire act," says Levkoff. "It's possible for you both to be satisfied without penetration."

8. Develop a sexual language. "Some people can't talk dirty," says Levkoff. "And that's okay. You should try to find a new way to let your partner know what feels great in a way that's comfortable for you." It might be words, it might be moans, but figure out how to let him know you're loving every minute of it -- or at least which minutes you're loving.

9. Play games. You can turn teaching into a fun new game. "Play 'Do as I Do,'" say Em & Lo of EmandLo.com, authors of S*x Etiquette for Ladies and Gentlemen (Plume Books, 2004). "That's when you touch your hubby in exactly the way you wish to be touched and he follows suit, working your way from the top of the head down." Not only do you learn more about each other's pleasure, but you might find something new you like. Bonus!

10. Learn to enjoy a quickie. "In the middle of the night, bring yourself to a super-sexy state," say Em & Lo. "Then wake your husband up for an impromptu session." The advantage here? You avert the usual quickie problem -- one of you feeling left out in the foreplay department. By giving yourself the foreplay, you both can jump to some fast fun.

11. See him with starry eyes. Remember: Your husband is still your boyfriend, with all the fun that implies. "Do not assume that just because you are in married, you cannot have it dirty," say Em & Lo. "The idea that marriage, monogamy, or even good manners is the end of dirty, throw-me-against-the-wall, taboo-busting sex is a tired, old myth that you should debunk on a regular basis."

12. Play naked charades. Get ready for your usual lovemaking, but then take turns acting out the sexy things you want to do to each other -- if he can guess what you want, he gets to do it! "Your silent but brazen invitation will raise his excitement barometer quite a few inches," says Olivia St. Claire, author of 302 Advanced Techniques for Driving a Man Wild in Bed (Harmony Publishing, 2002).

TOPIC: THE DECIDING WITNESS

Key Verse: In the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. - Matthew 18:16

MESSAGE:
You've been there many times, standing in the valley of decision. Perched precariously between victory and defeat. On one side of you is the word of the world authored by Satan that says, for example, "You're not going to get healed." On the other side of you, the Word of God is saying, "My Word is yea and amen" and "By whose stripes, ye were healed" (1 Peter 2:24). Who will determine how it all turns out? You will. You're the establishing witness.

I remember a fellow once who wanted me to pray for him. I said, "Now the Word says you're healed." He interrupted me and said, "Yeah, I know it says that, but I've got this terrible pain here...."

I looked him in the eye and said again, "The Word says, 'By His stripes, you were healed.'"

"I know it," he answered, "but I've got this terrible...."

I shook my head. "Listen, the Word says you're healed!"

He turned beet red. "I know it says that, but I've got this...."

Finally, he stopped and stared at me. He didn't realize it, but he'd allowed his physical symptoms to become his evidence. It was what he believed. No matter what the Word said, he believed the thing he could see and feel.

But when he got quiet, I said to him, "Look, you're wanting me to agree with you and you're mad because I won't. But if I agree with you, you're going to die. Now if you'll agree with me and the Bible, we can get you healed."

Suddenly he saw it. His eyes lit up. "Oh, praise God! I see what you mean. I agree with the Word of God!"

I put my hands on his head and God healed him instantly.

You see, when he finally decided to get in agreement with God, he could have received in his bedroom or driving down the road or anywhere else. He could have received any time he decided to become the establishing witness.

You pray and establish your witness. That's your part. If you'll do it, God will back you—and when He backs you, everything else either has to get in line or get out of the way.

You're the deciding witness. What do you say?

Bible Text: John 12:1-11

Key Verse: "Then took Mary a pound of ointment of spikenard, very costly, and anointed the feet of Jesus, and wiped his feet with her hair: and the house was filled with the odour of the ointment" (John 12:3).

MESSAGE:
Miguel Guzman, a family man from Argentina passed away more than six years ago. To add to the family's grief, the family dog, a German Shepherd named Captain, disappeared just days later. The family frantically searched for him but to no avail. Then, one Sunday, they made a trip to the cemetery to VISIT Miguel's grave. There, to their great surprise and delight, they found Captain sitting atop the freshly mounded burial plot.

They mused how he could have ever found the cemetery on his own since he had never been taken there. Cemetery officials (who were feeding and caring for Captain) say the faithful dog has lived on the grounds for six years. "During the day he sometimes has a walk around the cemetery", says an official, "but always rushes back to the grave. And everyday at six o'clock sharp, he lies down on top the grave and stays there all night". Six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany where Lazarus, whom He had raised from the dead, was. While Jesus was at the table with Lazarus, Martha was occupied with serving as usual.

Meanwhile, Mary took a vial of an expensive ointment and anointed Jesus' feet, and wiped it with her hair. Judas Iscariot found it a waste to commit such a huge amount to this anointing instead of giving to the poor. Jesus saw Mary's action in reference to His coming death. Why did she do it? Many may ask. Mary was worried. She was afraid this might be the last time she would see Jesus. She needed to show Him how much He meant to her. She needed to show her devotion to Him in an unmistakable way. It was an act of deep humility. To what extent are you prepared to go today in showing your gratitude to Jesus? Why not be like Mary by exploiting every opportunity to service Him and do good to mankind.

Memorise: And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved. – Mark 13:13

Read: Mark 13:3-13 (KJV)

3 And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately,

4 Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled?

5 And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you:

6 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

7 And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

8 For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.

9 But take heed to yourselves: for they shall deliver you up to councils; and in the synagogues ye shall be beaten: and ye shall be brought before rulers and kings for my sake, for a testimony against them.

10 And the gospel must first be published among all nations.

11 But when they shall lead you, and deliver you up, take no thought beforehand what ye shall speak, neither do ye premeditate: but whatsoever shall be given you in that hour, that speak ye: for it is not ye that speak, but the Holy Ghost.

12 Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.

13 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

Bible in One Year: Ezekiel 33-34, Psalms 73:18-28

MESSAGE:
The Christian race is not a short one but a marathon; you know there is a finish line but you can’t see it. Our Lord Jesus Christ did not hide this truth from us when He said:

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.” - Matthew 24:36

To endure suggests that one would have to live with some things that are not compatible with our nature. This is a truth that some 21st century believers are not ready to live with. Our Lord Jesus Christ said that we should come and learn of Him. In the process of learning from Him, we must take His yoke upon us. The burden of our Lord Jesus Christ is justice, righteousness; love for God and acceptable service of humanity, particularly those in the household of faith. The Bible says:

“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” - Galatians 6:10

What calls for endurance in Christian walk and why should we endure? Jesus Christ confronted the people of old about the fact that they hated Him, because He stood for the truth which His Father sent Him to tell the world.

“39…If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the works of Abraham. 40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God: this did not Abraham. 42…If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.” - John 8:39-40, 42

Against this background, our Lord Jesus Christ told His disciples and us by extension, that He was sending us forth as sheep in the midst of wolves, and that we should be as wise as serpents, and as harmless as doves. He went further to tell us what was to come:

“And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.” - Mathew 10:22

Beloved, as we journey through the wilderness of this world towards our heavenly home, don’t let us forget that this way is a narrow one. It takes a lot of discipline and self-denial to scale through successfully. Straight is the gate and narrow is the way according to the Words of our Lord Jesus Christ. Let us forge ahead and the Lord will see us through to the heavenly Canaan in Jesus’ name. Whatever situation that may warrant your backsliding shall be destroyed this day in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Go into the world today and obtain your victory in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Point: Father, please see me through the journey of life and don’t let me perish with the world.

World Cup: Fifa president Gianni Infantino wants 48-team tournament

Fifa President Gianni Infantino
Fifa president Gianni Infantino has proposed expanding the World Cup finals to a 48-team tournament - a larger number than his election promise.

The Italian suggested 16 of those teams would be eliminated after one knockout match - before the group stages.

The rest of the tournament would be the same as it is now, with 32 teams competing in group stages followed by knockout rounds.

One of his election promises was to expand the finals to 40 teams.

Infantino said a decision would be taken by the governing body's council in January.

"These are ideas to find the best solution, we will debate them this month and we will decide everything by 2017," said the 46-year-old.

"They are ideas which we put forward to see which one is the best."

Infantino took charge of football's world governing body in February after the disgraced Sepp Blatter resigned.

Under his proposal, a preliminary knockout round in the host country would involve 32 teams with the winners reaching the groups, while a further 16 seeded teams would get a bye to that stage.

"It means we continue with a normal World Cup for 32 teams, but 48 teams go to the party," he added.

"Fifa's idea is to develop football in the whole world, and the World Cup is the biggest event there is. It's more than a competition, it's a social event."
