Facebook Mark Zuckerberg's Visit to Nigeria, A Big Lesson

What did you see in this photo between Nigerian president and Facebook founder?
Since the visit of Mark Zuckerberg to Nigeria, It has generated a lot of concern and but left me to ask this question.

How many of our Nigerian Politicans can boast of their money made in a cool and clear ways? if not stealing by pen then it will be depraving the poor masses their right to good living. These our politicians are indeed wicked and evil, they convert all treasure belonging to all NIGERIANS to their family purse.

According to forbes, Zuckerberg is worth Net worth: 54.4 billion USD (2016)-Forbes. Check out! Money made in a clean way without stealing or looting of any state or national treasury.
It is good to be BLACK, nice to be NIGERIAN but what has it done to me? No good environment to achieve such as MARK ZUCKERBERG.

In fact I'm totally disappointed in the setting today. Politics which has to bring democracy (good governance) it has really polluted the Nigerian system. Let me not think about it! Surely, one day WE WILL MAKE IT IN NIGERIA of our COUNTRY with CORRUPT LEADERS

Trump calls for new civil rights agenda in visit to black church

US Election

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump stepped up his bid to win over minority voters by addressing a largely black church in Detroit on Saturday and calling for a new civil rights agenda to support African-Americans.

As scores of protesters outside chanted "No justice, no peace," Trump said he wanted to make Detroit - a predominantly African-American city which recently emerged from bankruptcy - the economic envy of the world by bringing back companies from abroad.

Trump separately met with about 100 community and church leaders, his campaign said, in his latest push to peel away minority voters from Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton.

His outreach to minorities over recent weeks comes as he seeks to improve his chances in the Nov. 8 election and shake off months of offending the sensibilities of black and Hispanic voters with his hard line on immigration and rough-hewn rhetoric.

"I fully understand that the African American community is suffering from discrimination and that there are many wrongs that must still be made right," Trump said at the church which was half-full. "I want to make America prosperous for everyone. I want to make this city the economic envy of the world, and we can do that."

His address of over 10 minutes at the Great Faith Ministries International church received moments of applause, including when he said Christian faith is not the past, but the present and the future.

Accompanying Trump to the church was Ben Carson, the former Republican presidential hopeful who grew up in the city and whose childhood neighborhood Trump visited on Saturday.

Trump has argued that his emphasis on job creation would help minority communities in a way that Democrats have failed to. But Clinton has accused Trump of aligning himself with racists.

Opinion polls show Trump has low support among minorities.

"I believe we need a civil rights agenda for our time, one that ensures the rights to a great education, so important, and the right to live in a good-paying job and one that you love to go to every morning," Trump said.

"That can happen. We need to bring our companies back," he added.

Emma Lockridge, 63, said as she entered the church that she found his comments about Mexicans and Muslims "hateful."

"That's my major reservation with Mr. Trump is how he's treated those particular sets of people," said Lockridge, who is retired and an environmental activist.

But she said she also had concerns about Clinton's support in the 1990s for crime legislation signed by her husband, former President Bill Clinton, which many black Americans say contributed to high incarceration rates in their communities.

Vicki Dobbins, an activist protesting outside, said she was disappointed the church asked Trump to speak.

"I believe that Trump coming to Detroit is a joke, and I'm ashamed of the pastor who invited him," she said. "In my opinion, he stabbed everyone in the back."

BREAKING: Zimbabwe Mugabe dead and resurrected

Zimbabwe President
ZIMBABWE - President Robert Mugabe joked Saturday that he had been resurrected as he returned from a foreign trip, mocking rumours that he had died or is critically ill.

“Yes, I was dead. It’s true I was dead. I resurrected as I always do once I get back to my country. I am real again,” the 92-year-old ruler told reporters at Harare international airport after arriving from Dubai.

His comments came after an online news site reported he had died mid-air on his trip to Dubai.

Mugabe’s health has been increasingly under the spotlight in recent years, particularly after he fell down a staircase after addressing supporters last year.

He has denied ill-health reports and vowed to stand for reelection in 2018, but recent weeks have seen a surge of demonstrations against his rule, which stretches back to Zimbabwe’s independence in 1980.

Zimbabwe police announced on Thursday a two-week ban on protests in the capital Harare, after a string of violent demonstrations in recent weeks calling on Mugabe to step down.

In a speech later Saturday Mugabe said his government would not allow violent demonstrations by opposition political parties against his rule.

“We can’t allow them to continue on these violent demonstrations unimpeded. No, enough is enough,” Mugabe said in an hour-long speech to the youth league of his ruling ZANU-PF party.

“You realise the opposition parties are in a destabilisation mode, aiming to make our country ungovernable. They are pursuing their selfish agenda that targets the undemocratic removal of an elected government from office,” he added.

Mugabe also accused the West of helping to finance the opposition.

“Our enemies use money and opposition parties to provoke internal instability and conflicts,” he said.

Zimbabwe has suffered an economic crisis since the start of the century, with 90 percent of the population not in formal employment.

The cash-strapped government has been slow to pay the salaries of public sector workers while banks are running out of cash.

Blogger may face jail for playing Pokemon Go in church

RUSSIA - A young blogger has been charged with inciting hatred and offending religious sensibilities after filming himself playing Pokemon Go in a Yekaterinberg cathedral.

Ruslan Sokolovski is in detention for two months, a statement by the investigative committee said Saturday, and could face a five-year jail term if convicted.

On August 11, Sokolovski published a video on his YouTube channel showing him entering the Church of All Saints in Yekaterinburg and playing Pokemon Go on his iPhone throughout the cathedral.

“How can one offend by entering a church with a smartphone?” he said.

But investigators said searches on his home had shown evidence of incitement to hatred and attacks on the liberty of faith.

Authorities worldwide have issued a slew of warnings since the hugely popular smartphone app was launched in July.

It has already been blamed for a wave of crimes, traffic violations and complaints in cities around the globe.

The free app uses satellite locations, graphics and camera capabilities to overlay cartoon monsters on real-world settings, challenging players to capture and train the creatures for battles.

Pokemon has been popular in Japan since first being launched as software in 1996 for Nintendo’s iconic Game Boy console.

Heart-touching: Rare condition turns boy’s skin into ‘tree’

A little boy who suffers from an extremely rare condition that makes his hands and feet look like they’re turning into trees, has left doctors stunned.

The body of seven-year-old Ripon Sarker is covered in scaly warts because he suffers from the condition known as ‘epidermodysplasia verruciformis’.

Ripon, who is from Bangladesh, was only admitted to hospital for the first time this month because his family couldn’t afford treatment.

The young boy cannot walk or eat by himself because of his tree-like features – but doctors have said they are hopeful that his hands and feet are operable as his fingers and toes and can still be identified, according to Reditt.

Ripon’s symptoms match the ones of 26-year-old Abul Bajander – dubbed ‘ tree man ‘ – who also has the same condition and was recently operated.

Sexy Nicole Scherzinger rubbishes cosmetic surgery rumours and reveals secret to her flawless appearance

Nicole Scherzinger has slammed rumours she's had work done on her face.

The X Factor judge's fresh-faced appearance sparked speculation she might have had a little help.

But the 38-year-old says it's all down to her simple beauty and exercise regime.

Nicole, who recently threw some major shade at former judge Cheryl Fernandez Versini , was asked if she'd consider getting botox, to which she replied: "No, I haven’t.

“I think for me it’s more about taking care of yourself from the inside out. I think health is really important.

“It’s about drinking a lot of water and getting a lot of sleep. It’s crazy what hot yoga or going on an amazing run will do.

“Anybody can always get that stuff done, but for me how I feel inside is a true reflection.”

But while Nicole might have stayed away from cosmetic surgery, her co-judge Sharon Osbourne admittedly hasn't.

And the rest of the panel haven't been shy about pointing out just how much work she's had done.

In one of last week's episodes, Louis and Nicole were examining an old picture of Sharon and the feisty judge exclaimed, "Let me see how many facelifts ago that was."

Key Verse: The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.- Luke 18:27

Right now you and I are standing face to face with situations in our nation that need to be changed. Some of those situations look totally impossible. But they’re not. Because this country belongs to God.

He’s the One who brought the United States of America into existence. He had a special purpose for it. He needed a country where the gospel could be preached freely and not suppressed.

It was God Himself who stirred the heart and mind of Christopher Columbus and planted within him the dream of charting a new course to the West. Columbus said so in his own journals: “It was the Lord who put into my mind (I could feel His hand upon me) the fact that it would be possible to sail from here to the Indies. All who heard of my project rejected it with laughter, ridiculing me. There’s no question that the inspiration was from the Holy Spirit because He comforted me with rays of marvelous inspiration from the Holy Scriptures….”

Who brought Christopher Columbus to America? God brought him. This is God’s nation. He raised it up, and it’s not going to be taken away from Him.

The next time you’re tempted to look at situations in this country as impossible, remember who it belongs to. Then you can discover America just like Christopher Columbus did—by faith.

Bible Text: LUKE 6:12-19

Key Verse: "And Judas the brother of James, and Judas Iscariot, which also was the traitor" (Luke 6:16).

What a way of introducing him, "...which also was the traitor"! Yet, there was no mistake about his choice. He was not chosen to play the traitor's role but he fell into being the traitor! One cannot help but wonder what befell Judas Iscariot who had such a unique privilege to be numbered among the twelve disciples of Jesus Christ.

Jesus did not make a mistake by choosing Judas among the other eleven disciples. He had spent nights and days in prayers and finally arrived at the twelve. By His choice, Judas had equal opportunities and privileges like the other eleven. He was taught and trained by Jesus, specially empowered and commissioned with the others to embark on evangelistic outreaches that yielded testimonies of signs and wonders, even of the devil being subject to them. But he had an unpleasant appendage to his name which led to his unfortunate end. Judas' case is one example of people who fell from grace to grass. He was not destined by cruel fate to be the traitor.

There is no such thing as fate or predestination. Every human is a free moral agent who has the right and freedom to make choices but is answerable for whatever choice he makes. Judas chose to trade his highly coveted privilege as an apostle of Jesus for just thirty pieces of silver, which unfortunately, he never enjoyed. We should be careful of the choices we make because they are the determinants of our destiny.

We should also be conscious that our positions or privileges in life are not permanent. To keep our positions and continue to enjoy our privileges, we must be careful to maintain them by our continual obedience to the Lord and making right choices and decisions

Thought for the day: A fool tramples upon privileges served to enhance his net worth.

President Buhari Praises Mark Zuckerberg: I am impressed by your simplicity

Facebook founder visit to Nigeria

NIGERIA - Following the meeting between President Muhammadu Buhari and Facebook Founder Mark Zuckerberg, the former has disclosed what he thinks about the young IT entrepreneur.

According to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, the President spoke while granting audience to Zuckerberg at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Buhari said the various meetings held with Nigerian youths since his arrival in the country were most timely as the country was already exploring opportunities to spur development through entrepreneurship.

He said, “Nigeria has always been identified as a country with great potential for growth, especially with our youthful population, but now we are moving beyond the potential to reality.

“I am impressed by your simplicity in sharing your knowledge and wealth with those with less income.”

The President noted that the simplicity and magnanimity of the entrepreneur, who is among the world’s richest men, had also challenged the culture of lavish wealth display and impulsive spending that had become peculiar to Nigerians.

“In our culture, we are not used to seeing successful people appear like you. We are not used to seeing successful people jogging and sweating on the streets.

“We are more used to seeing successful people in air-conditioned places. We are happy you are well-off and simple enough to always share,” he said.

In his remarks, Zuckerberg said he was impressed by the interest, energy and entrepreneurial spirit displayed by young Nigerians in all the ICT camps that he had visited.

“I was highly impressed by the talent of the youths in the Co-creation Hub in Yaba. I was blown away by their talent and the level of energy that I saw,’’ he said.

Zuckerberg added that he is in the country to promote the penetration of “fast and cheap” internet connectivity, Express-wifi, that would help people create online businesses and reduce poverty.
