Buratai Dubai Properties: EFCC seals The First Group company

Buratai Dubai Properties saga

Information from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have revealed that their agents sealed offices of The First Group company in the Central Business District of Abuja. The First Group, a real estate development company, has featured in SaharaReporters investigations into the unexplainable properties belonging to Army Chief of Staff Tukur Buratai.

The First Group company is located on the seventh floor of the Bank of Industry building of the Central Business District, Abuja.

The Chief of Army Staff, purchased two luxury properties in a posh area of Dubai for N120 million naira. The army has said that these properties were purchased from Mr. Buratai’s personal savings despite receiving an army salary for his career. It will be recalled that Mr. Buratai purchased these properties in one installment using a Skye bank account.

Sources from the EFCC have disclosed that The First Group scammed Nigerians out of more than $200 billion.

Investigations by the EFCC also revealed that the company known as TFG Real Estate Limited, which operates in Nigeria, is fronting as The First Group company which according to sources is based in Dubai and not registered in Nigeria.

The First Group, which operates as a Ponzi scheme, entices Nigerians to invest in Dubai properties and forces them to make payments. When they can no longer service those payments the company seizes their money.

Charly boy open letter to Buhari will shock you.

Charly boy open letter to Buhari

Mr. President Sir,
Once again I am compelled to voice out my bewilderment at the stumbling and wobbly kind of governance we have had since you came onboard.

I wonder what you are doing right now.
I wonder if our tears, pains and hopelessness affect you in anyway.
I wonder if you are the one in charge or some other people.

You have tasted leadership before and you know what it entails. I understand that. However, then and now are two different scenarios, two separate dispensations.

We know you.

We know about your war against indiscipline.

We hear about your no-nonsense stand against corruption.

We have read so much about our stolen monies which you have managed to recover. Well done sha.
Meanwhile, the nagging questions that leave me sleepless most nights remain unanswered…
How much money have you collected from the looters so far?

To what use have the monies been put?

From where I stand, it seems you’re the only one in your cabinet fighting corruption while your praise singers are busy washing you all over town trying to convince us that you’re a good man.
I, CharlyBoy, know that you are a “good” man: someone who loves the country, a patriot with a high sense of morals perhaps. But na that one we go chop? Is that all that is needed to fix the rot of over 40yrs.?

I don’t think so!

To a great degree, Nigeria has become a terribly dysfunctional society.

I didn’t vote in the last elections because I just tire with the kalokalo leadership so far. Even when a lot of people wanted change, I wondered what manner of change could come when in our history we never really struggled for anything.

Before you sat on that chair, I proclaimed that Nigeria would only survive under a benevolent dictator; one with lots of selfless love for the country and is willing to lay down his life, one who would deal mercilessly with all those who have ruined our land.
A lot of people thought I was talking about you.

From Boko Haram to Niger Delta Avengers. MASSOB, OPC, to Biafran Avengers, name it, the list is endless.

Mr President Sir, you ought to, as a matter of urgency, review your approach to handling issues because, sometimes diplomacy works better. Excessive force will only breed more discontentment. Take it from me.

Your mark of fair play must cut across board, you must not leave room for us to second-guess your intentions biko, and you must at all times convey clarity of purpose.
It is not possible (or I should say it is unbelievable) that you can’t see that we are swimming in the river of chaos.

It is funny because, those who feel insulated and protected by the State will discover that they are mere sitting ducks!

Just because say boys dey vex!

Putting Nigeria together will take a lot more than childish, nonsensical propaganda.
It will take more than prayers, more than just being a good guy.

Being good is important but not as important as being a no-nonsense ass-kicker; person wey no send, because many things don scatter.

I don’t care if you’re trying to convert all of us to Islam, I don’t care if everyone in your cabinet is your in-law, brother, sister, tribesman, cook, steward or even your MaiGuard.

On behalf of all the frustrated youths in this country, all we need is a leader who can fix things, not the one that comes with excuses.

A leader who is not afraid to admit that he has no clue to certain matters but willing to learn spot on and hands on.

A leader who can’t be comfortable with praise singers.
A leader who is troubled by the cry of poverty-ridden Nigerians.
A leader who can raise our hope once again in our battered country.
A leader who can make us start believing in our Nigeria again.
Oga Presido, do sometin o, boys are vexing!

We 'll not impeach Buhari - Senator Dino Melaye

We have no plan to impeach Buhari

Senator Dino Melaye, on Wednesday morning said reports that he was planning to initiate impeachment proceeding against President Muhammadu Buhari were not true.

Mr. Melaye, chairman of the Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory, said the “falsehood” emanated from those who didn’t want Nigeria to progress unless they were in power.

Mr. Melaye made the remarks in a statement he signed and distributed on Wednesday morning in Abuja.

Mr. Melaye said the reports were a “narrative of the attack dogs of demagogues who have decided to turn Nigeria upside down for failing to choose leaders for senators.”

Mr. Melaye was reported to have told senators during an executive session on Tuesday that lawmakers should pass articles of impeachment against Mr. Buhari for his alleged disrespect for the National Assembly.

“It is pertinent to note that the incredulously machinated misinformation was orchestrated by forces bent on destabilising the upper chambers of the Nigerian Parliament for selfish reasons.

“One of the mushroom and faceless online platforms used to promote the ill-fated and calumnious write-up has been notorious for serving as the propagandist machinery of political commercialists who are pushing for the extension of their fiefdom to the National Assembly,” Mr. Melaye said.

Mr. Melaye, however, decried the manner in which the legislative arm of government is being treated, saying the National Assembly should be given a free hand to carry out its difficult responsibilities.

Topic: Don't Overlook the Blessings

For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory. - 2 Corinthians 4:17
It's easy to get your spiritual eyes fixed so firmly on the problems in your life, you overlook the blessings completely! As a result, you end up suffering through situations that should have you rejoicing.

Let me show you what I mean. Not long ago, this ministry was facing some great financial pressures. I stood in faith against them. I battled against them with the Word and in prayer.

What I didn't realize was this: During that time when the problems seemed so great—the blessings were even greater. This ministry was growing faster, ministering to more people, writing more letters, printing more publications, sending out more teaching tapes than ever before! It was a breakthrough time...a time for rejoicing. But I didn't know it because I was too busy thinking about the problems.

I was so "tunnel-visioned", all I could see was the pressure, and I suffered through some hard times when I should have been shouting the victory.

But thank God, He woke me up before it was over. He woke me up to the blessings and reminded me that the problems are temporary, or subject to change, but God and His Word of victory are never subject to change!

If you've been suffering through some hard times lately, wake up to the blessings around you. You'll be much more effective in battling the problems if you're giving God the glory for the solutions He's already provided. Take your eyes off the trouble and look around you. You'll soon be shouting the victory!

Celeb: 'I am not pregnant but fed up', Jennifer blasted

Jennifer Aniston said she was “not in pursuit of motherhood because I feel incomplete”
Jennifer Aniston

The former Friends actress has slammed false stories and insisted: "For the record, I am not pregnant. What I am is fed up."

Jennifer Aniston has confirmed she is not pregnant but admits she hopes to become a mother “one day”.

In a open letter titled ‘For The Record’ on the Huffington Post website, the former Friends star said she did not like the way women were being portrayed and blasted sections of the media who are obsessed with her life.

For years actress Aniston, 47, has battled against false stories in US magazines claiming she is pregnant, sometimes for months on end.

"For the record, I am not pregnant," she writes. "What I am is fed up."

Aniston continued: "I'm fed up with the sport-like scrutiny and body shaming that occurs daily under the guise of 'journalism,' the 'First Amendment,' and 'celebrity news.'

The star said she is "fed up"

"This past month in particular has illuminated for me how much we define a woman’s value based on her marital and maternal status. The sheer amount of resources being spent right now by press trying to simply uncover whether or not I am pregnant (for the bajillionth time... but who’s counting) points to the perpetuation of this notion that women are somehow incomplete, unsuccessful, or unhappy if they’re not married with children."

Jennifer married actor Justin Theroux, 44, 11 months ago and was last month was forced to deny rumours she was expecting after pictures of her with an ever-so-slightly rounded stomach emerged.

Jennifer, who was previously married to Brad Pitt, also insisted she did not need a child to necessarily be happy in life.

She said she was “not in pursuit of motherhood because I feel incomplete” but admitted frustration with being congratulated on being pregnant up to a dozen times a day because of false stories in the US.

She added: “Here’s where I come out on this topic: we are complete with or without a mate, with or without a child. We get to decide for ourselves what is beautiful when it comes to our bodies. That decision is ours and ours alone.

"Let’s make that decision for ourselves and for the young women in this world who look to us as examples. Let’s make that decision consciously, outside of the tabloid noise.

"We don’t need to be married or mothers to be complete. We get to determine our own ‘happily ever after’ for ourselves.”

Madonna took all of her children for the life-changing trip but made an error in an online tribute.

The pop legend has helped set up a new children's hospital in her adopted children's home nation of Malawi, but has been blasted by critics for using the wrong flag in an online post.

The Like A Virgin hitmaker returned to Malawi with her children Lourdes and Rocco as well as her adopted children David and Mercy for trip, which saw her son David get his Ngoni tribal name in his ancestral village.

They also spent time as a family in an orphanage and touring the new paediatric hospital, that she revealed is hopefully opening next year.

Daily Manna: On fire for God - Pastor W.F Kumuyi

Daily Manna Devotional 13th July 2016 written by Pastor W.F Kumuyi

Topic: On Fire For God

Today's Text:

Deuteronomy 6:1-5

Key Verse:

And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might (Deuteronomy 6:5).

A young man had the opportunity of being invited to a royal banquet. It was the wedding ceremony of a king's son. He however, felt short of the standard of the dress code. While other guests turned up in the standard attire, he was the odd man.

The host was surprised to see a man who looked odd in his banquet and asked him, "How did you come in here without a wedding garment?" He was speechless and was eventually thrown out of the banquet. The children of Israel at this time, were on their way to the Promised Land. God, through Moses, needed to remind them how they should comport themselves and what they must consistently do to keep enjoying the privilege of inheriting a land that "floweth with milk and honey".

They must fear the Lord God, and keep all His commandments. Above all, they must love the Lord their God with all their heart and might. Just as God made a demand of implicit obedience from Israel, we must make ourselves qualified to enjoy all the benefits of serving the Lord by fearing and loving the almighty God. The passage emphasizes your "heart, soul and might". This is the totality of the human personality. This implies therefore, that the totality of man must be given to God. One must not "visit" Him occasionally in times of trouble and need. God must be the central focus of a sensible man's life.

Thought for the day:

Ephemeral opportunities are often seized by the wise at heart.

Memorise: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. – 1 Corinthians 9:27

Today's Text:

1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (KJV)

24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.

25 And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.

26 I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air:

27 But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.

Bible in One Year: 1 Corinthians 5-7, Psalms 9:1-10

MESSAGE:

One of the three expressways to sin is the flesh. Our first parents did not take note of this and so they fell into the trap of the flesh. The Bible says: “And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food…”she fell for the lust of the flesh. It should be recalled that it was food that made Esau lost his birthright. The greatest birthright, of course, is the place Jesus went to prepare for the elects and no child of God should trade his Heavenly mansion for a morsel of food. It is written.

“16 Lest there be any fornicator, or profane person, as Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. 17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.” - Hebrews 12:16-17

This is the categorisation John the beloved Apostle made in his first general epistle when he wrote:

“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.” - 1 John 2:16

There are terrible products of the flesh as listed in Galatians 5:19-21 which will not allow anyone enter into the Kingdom of God. Paul, another apostle of Jesus Christ did not underplay the havoc the flesh can do and determined to keep his body under and subject it to spiritual authority, so that he could make it to eternity with his God. It is not a surprise that Paul decided to subject his flesh because he knew the evil it perpetrated against his soul as revealed in another of his epistles where he lamented:

“O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?” - Romans 7:24

He however found solution to the devastating effect of the flesh in Jesus Christ, as he wrote further in Romans 7:25a.

The lesson we can readily learn from Paul’s experience is that we can overcome the negative influence of the flesh if we accept Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour. Our annual resolution to live a godly life cannot help in this regard. Only with the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ can any man overcome the flesh. This is why Jesus is calling everyone, particularly a reader of this devotional; He says:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy-laden and I will give you rest.” - Matthew 11:28

As Paul overcame, we can also overcome the flesh and we shall be able to say like him:

“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:” - 2 Timothy 4:7

May the Lord give us victory over the flesh in Jesus’ name.

Prayer Point:

Father, help me to uproot every seed of sin that the devil has planted in my life, and give me victory over my flesh in Jesus’ name.
